Thanh Bui says that while TV talent shows provide opportunities for some young people to become famous, the VIMAF Festival is a fair and inclusive stage that brings the world to Vietnam.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Vietnam is hosting the Vietnam International Music & Arts Festival (VIMAF) on a national and Southeast Asian scale, offering a professional artistic platform for the young generation of Vietnamese artists and creative talents across the region.<\/p>\n

The organizers emphasize that \u201cVIMAF 2025 is not just an art festival. It is a comprehensive journey where music, performing arts, creative education, and international exchange come together to spread the message: \u2018Arts connect. The world shines.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking about the significance and competitiveness of VIMAF in the context of the growing popularity of television talent shows, musician and educator Thanh Bui shared: \u201cEvery competition is a valuable opportunity for young people. I\u2019ve also participated in game shows to discover talents, and many of them have become very successful.<\/p>\n

But the mission of VIMAF carries a broader and more inclusive vision \u2014 without limitations of region, form, or age. Here, every participant has the chance to showcase their abilities across multiple disciplines such as vocal performance, instrumental music, and dance, through live performances evaluated by an international-standard jury.<\/p>\n

VIMAF is not about competition, rankings, or awards. It is a healthy, genuine, and meaningful platform to nurture global talents, to connect equally, to bring Vietnam to the world \u2014 and the world to Vietnam.<\/p>\n

Years ago, when our children wanted to participate in international competitions, they had to go abroad \u2014 to Singapore, Russia, the U.S., or Australia.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thanh Bui questioned: \u201cWhy should Vietnam have to go abroad when we can create a world-class stage right here \u2014 to attract regional and global talents to Vietnam?\u201d<\/p>\n

Sharing the same perspective, Mr. Pham Minh Toan, Executive Member of the Vietnam Cultural Industry Development Association and Deputy Head of its Ho Chi Minh City Branch, emphasized: \u201cVIMAF is a realization of the cultural industry mission in Vietnam\u2019s current context \u2014 breaking boundaries to connect Vietnamese arts with the world, rather than limiting opportunities for talent development only within local regions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Through VIMAF, Vietnam reaffirms its position as \u201cAsia\u2019s new cultural and artistic destination,\u201d while empowering young artistic talents from Vietnam and Southeast Asia to reach the global stage.<\/p>\n

\u201cVIMAF is not just a festival; it is a launchpad \u2014 a place where young talents are connected, inspired, and empowered to turn their passion into a career, bringing Vietnam closer to the international scene,\u201d said People\u2019s Artist Vuong Duy Bien, President of the Vietnam Cultural Industry Development Association (VCIDA).<\/p>\n

The festival will take place over two days, December 12 and 13, at Capital Theatre in Ho Chi Minh City. Registration for participation is open until November 30.<\/p>\n
